A man with a troubled past, and a fragile heart. Struggling with alcoholism, Toni is prone to emotional outbursts. Despite his personal issues, he loves playing his role of the mischievous and charming Rat character.
Toni grew up in a broken household. His father was a violent alcoholic, and his mother was hardly ever around. Being the oldest of two siblings, Toni was forced into a kid-parent role at a very young age. His only friend was a kid named Brian, who he moved in with sometime during high school.Acting wasn't always on Toni's mind. Originally, he wanted to be an cartoonist, but was rejected from every university he applied to. Feeling hopeless, Toni's last resort was a little up-and-coming place called the Rat & Cat Theater. He worked on set design for a while, until the original actors for the Rat and Cat were fired. Desperate for new actors, Toni was hired by Vincent on the spot, as long as he knew someone who'd be able to play the Cat.

For years, Vincent dreamt of being an actor. The theater was created from a shared passion with his best friend, Glenn Eriksen. This place is his life's work!
Vincent didn’t have a particularly interesting childhood, leaving him bored and yearning for something more. It wasn’t until he discovered the art of theater, and inspired to become a famous actor. However, he lost himself along the way, becoming full of bitterness and envy. He’d do anything to get what he wants, no matter how hard he has to fake it.
Komi Tchaikovsky
At first, Vincent found the strange pianist to be weird, and didn’t like how sometimes she’d step out of her shell of silence just to begin pestering him with her ideas for decoration and activities for the children. It took a while for the puppeteer to grow to appreciate Komi, and eventually that feeling turned into something more.Toni Russo
Because of Toni’s background, Vincent doesn’t think very highly of him. He’s especially jealous of the fact that Toni is so clearly more charming when performing, making the Rat the most popular character in the theater. Vincent doesn’t think it’s fair, how this alcoholic bum who ruined his chance to go to university is getting more attention and recognition than him. Vincent’s the one who worked for this! Not him!Richie Kennedy
...Glenn Eriksen
The two co-founders met one fateful day in college, assigned a dorm together. The men grew close, so close that Vincent was the best man at Glenn’s wedding, and was there on the day of Chandler’s birth. Nothing could break their bond… unless…

A mysterious being not from this world playing the role of a simple pianist. Secretly, she studies the supernatural Remnant that lingers within the theater's piano.
Komi claims that when she was very young, her father took her to see the Nutcracker. Apparently, she was so inspired by the performance that she'd asked for piano lessons the next day.
Vincent Allard
Even with a bad track record of past relationships already, Komi unfortunately finds herself attached to the Puppeteer. He's always in the back of her mind, so much so that it drives her up the wall. So she distances herself, doing small favors for him without asking for anything in return. But those moments where their hands touch for just a second, where they lock eyes from across the room... She treasures those.Toni Russo
Komi sees herself in Toni; or specifically, who she used to be a very long time ago. A being like herself shouldn't get so easily attached to humans, but she does every single time. She gives the young man advice, and listens to him when he needs to vent his frustrations.Richie Kennedy
Richie had been kind to her from day one. He'd been the one to show her around the theater, introduce her to the others, and he even gives her a ride to and from work almost every day. He's like a little ray of sunshine, Komi thinks. He's also really fun to mess with~Ghost of the Theater
Strangely enough, Komi seems to have some like of connection to the other side. She’s able to see and speak to the mysterious ghost that often wanders the theater. Komi’s discovered that the ghost calms down and remembers things whenever she plays the piano…Glenn Eriksen

Mary Schmidt
The sad girl who witnessed multiple deaths throughout her life, starting when she was three years old when her mother died giving birth to her brother. After such a traumatic experience, Mary began to talk to her Origami Cat (Naomi) whenever she felt lonely or missed her mother. Then at six years old, Mary was the witness of a double murder, where two mascot actors from a theater she’s grown to love were killed by the hands of another actor. She began to have nightmares constantly, and it wasn’t helped that a year later, her little brother was attacked by the wire puppet of the Rat.While in therapy, Mary began to confront her past in order to stop her nightmares. It was a tough order for a child so young to take on, but Mary was able to manage… because she had the Origami Cat and her father’s music, after all. After remembering the cause for her nightmares, Mary tells her therapist about the incident she witnessed on October 13th, 1961. This information gets into the hands of the police, who arrest the true killer; Vincent Allard, the Puppeteer.Mary gives her witness testimony in court, all while Vincent stares her down. Mary begins to grow paranoid, and her nightmares return again as she begins to fear the man himself. It doesn’t help that she begins talking to “Vinnie” (Danny), who blames her for everything that happened.Into her adulthood, Mary lives an isolated life due to her fragmented identity and institutional distrust of others. She’s distant with her younger brother, as she still hasn’t overcome her guilt over what happened to him.Eventually, she runs into Chancy, whom she remembers from the theater. Thanks to him (and an encounter at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza), Mary begins to investigate her past and uncovered her foggy memories. Unfortunately, “Vinnie” is angry at her for this, and begins to taunt her again. She tries to ignore him, but eventually she slips up and makes another “mistake.” Falling asleep on the job, Mary fails to notice two children sneaking into the Rowboatics factory she was hired to watch, resulting in their deaths. It doesn’t help that only two months later, Mary witnesses the Bite of 87 during another investigation, having spoken to the victim enough in the past to consider him a good guy. Impulsively and sick of the weight of her guilt, Mary decides to end this by becoming a night guard at Candy’s Burgers and Fries, to confront her past head-on.
